Benidorm’s three beaches, the Levante Beach, the Mal Pas and the Poniente have been awarded yet again the Blue Flag and the Q for Quality award. 

The Blue Flags are awarded annually by the FEE, the Foundation for Environmental Education, following a strict criteria including Water Quality, Environmental Education and Information, Environmental Management, and Safety and Other Services.
Benidorm’ Mayor, Toni Pérez along with other dignitaries raised the Blue Flag and the “Q” Flag on the Levante Beach today.  Benidorm’s beaches boast fine sand which is cleaned exhaustively every day, clean water and various services such as a library, easy access for all and swimming for the disabled which make the beaches very attractive for visitors.
The Q award given by the ICTE (the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality) looks for cleanliness, safety, rescue services and tourist information among other qualities.  It is a very prestigious and trusted award for Spanish Tourist Establishments in the Spanish Tourism Sector.
